We are very pleased, again, to make a raffle quilt to benefit the Ronald McDonald House in Bangor, Maine.  It will highlight our biennial quilt show, "St. Croix Quilts 2008:  Home Sweet Home," Friday, August 8 (1 to 8 pm) and Saturday, August 9 (9 am to 4 pm), at St. Croix Hall, Washington County Community College, Calais, Maine.  Don't miss our Mountain Folk challenge at the show, too!

The quilt was the inspiration of St. Croix Quilter Bonnie Hunter who motivated members to create a raffle quilt using blue and tan scrap fabrics.  She led a log cabin block workshop and taught participants how to paper piece the hillside village that is arranged across the top of the quilt.  Dana Bard of Moose Island Quilting did the wonderful machine quilting and Jen Lacasse added the binding to finish the quilt.

The Ronald McDonald House was the unanimous choice for our efforts.  Tickets are available from any guild member or by calling Jen Lacasse at (207) 454-0903 or e-mailing her at jentim3@verizon.net.  The lucky ticket will be drawn on the last day of our quilt show in August.

Don't forget, the member who sells the most raffle ticket will win a huge collection of fat quarters!
