Safely Store Old and/or Bent Pins and Needles

"One thing I keep with my machine is a used 35mm film canister and put dull, broken or bent pins in it.  I take one to workshops, too.  Then when it gets full, I can just throw it in the garbage and not worry about sharp points sticking through trash bags."   (NOTE:  You can also use old prescription bottles for the same purpose.)

Listen to Books While You Quilt

"Even if you don't have someone who reads aloud to you while you quilt, you can still enjoy books when you're sewing by listening to books on tape (or CD)."

Liz Trouant, Meddybemps, ME
